Los Angeles native Jhene Aiko is no stranger to the R&B/Hip-hop world- she began her musical career back in 2002 doing vocals for B2K (having a "Bump, bump, bump" flashback) and has appeared in a handful of music videos for O'Ryan, B2K, PYT, among others. She released a mixtape in 2011 titled, Sailing Soul(s) featuring collaborations with Miguel, Drake, Kanye, and Kendrick Lamar. In 2012, she met with No I.D., who ended up signing her to his Artium Records imprint through Def Jam. "Bed Peace"is the lead track from her EP, Sail Out out October 29, 2013. The artwork for "Bed Peace" was inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-Ins for Peace, protest against the Vietnam War.
