Chicago-based, Missouri-raised Angel Olsen released her debut EP, Strange Cacti in 2011 followed by her debut LP, Half Way Home in 2012 via Bathetic Records. In early 2013, she released another EP titled, Sleepwalker via Sixteen Tambourines. She is newly signed to Jagjaguwar whose roster also includes Lia Ices and Sharon Van Etten.
