Malaysian singer-songwriter, Yuna brings it again with her new track, Falling- the vibes emanating from this song make it impossible not to tap your foot, move your hips, and bump to the beat even though the lyrics are reminiscent of the end of a relationship. To be quite honest, I've been listening to this song over and over and over again. Falling was produced by Robin Hannibal (half of Rhye and half of the Danish duo, Quadron which also includes singer, Coco O who will definitely receive some exposure on this site). Yuna's debut album, Yuna released last year and her next album, Nocturnal will be released October 29th, 2013.

Young Summer's (aka Bobbie Allen's) EP, Fever Dream with delicate vocals and sincere lyrics takes me on a walk to a cloudy day at the beach, with the wind blowing in my hair, the scent of salty tears in the air, and thoughts about lost love fleeting my mind. Also, her personal description of music reminds me of home, nostalgic yet comforting and restorative... "Music has become a safe harbor or the ‘home’ I’ve never had, because it doesn’t change,” she explains. “You can hit track 5 on ‘Under The Table And Dreaming’ and it will always be ‘Typical Situation’ and it will always be comforting.” Hope to hear more from this talented woman soon! |
